Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic, resourceful person to work within Group Benefits/Group Retirement Applications Services. Our analysts and developers work together with our project partners to deliver high quality application solutions, while helping to bring forth new technologies into our space such as NoSQL, various DevOps tools and latest Design Patterns.

  • Produces both high-level and detailed-level designs based on business requirements documentation
  • Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interface design, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
  • Coordinates or performs design, coding, unit testing, debugging and implementation, as required.
  • Keeps current with trends in emerging technologies and how they could apply to the company.
  • Interface with other system designers, business system analysts, application analysts and testing specialists to deliver high quality solutions
  • Participate in various review processes to grow their understanding of the application and provide input into the various deliverables. i.e. business requirements, test plans, design reviews, etc.
  • Provide guidance in development planning throughout the development life cycle.
  • 10+ years of C# programming and information technology experience
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in: .NET (3.5, 4.5), Design documentation and UML diagrams & Data modeling.
  • Working knowledge of a number of different technologies such as SOAP based web services, ASP.NET (Web Forms and MVC), jQuery, MSSQL 2008 or later, including stored procedures, XML, XSLT and schema’s, Web server configuration experience in IIS 6.0 and later, Test driven development, Design pattern and dependency injection
  • Excellent problem analysis and trouble shooting skills
  • Experience using an Enterprise Service Bus platform such as SofwareAG WebMethods
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Sonarqube, Artifactory, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Group Benefits business and administration.
  • Knowledge of the financial and insurance industries
  • Experience with performance and memory analysis tools.
  • Experience with load testing web-based application.
  • Experience with integrating large complex systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Enterprise Services, Working better together.
